Computer Network Administrator
Job Summary
As a Network Administrator, you will be supporting our customer base onsite and remotely across Long Island. We provide support to many small business, local government, and emergency service entities. This position will report directly to the owner. It is important for this person to be well organized, motivated, and a team player.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, test, and install Hyper-V
- Configure, test, and install Microsoft Server
- Configure, test, and install Microsoft Exchange Server
- Configure, test, and install Managed Layer Switches
- Configure , test, and install Sonicwalls with SSL VPN
- Requires advance understanding of Active Directory
- Knowledge in point to point configuration
- Requires knowledge of network security best-practices
- Work with end users when issues arise
- Perform system updates across networks
- Work with end users over the phone to resolve issues
Qualifications:
- 4+ Years previous experience in IT Services
- Familiarity with Sonicwall a Plus
- Excellent expertise in troubleshooting hardware and operating system related issues for desktops and laptops
- Working knowledge of Proxy, DHCP, WINS, DNS, SMS and MS Active Directory
- Familiarity with Datto/Barracuda Backups a Plus
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Excellent organizational and communication skills and be customer service-oriented
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field a Plus
